Health Ministries will screen blood pressures in the church lounge on Sunday, March 2 after the service. Please wear a short-sleeved blouse or shirt so your blood pressure can accurately be measured. If you already have high blood pressure, please avoid any caffeinated beverages until after your blood pressure is measured.
Blood pressure is one of the most important screenings because high blood pressure usually has no symptoms so it cannot be detected without being measured. The goal of screening for high blood pressure is to reduce the chance of poor health outcomes such as heart attack, stroke, and death. Screening for high blood pressure is an accurate way to identify high blood pressure so that earlier treatment can be initiated.
